ClosetIQ ("Closet IQ", "we", "our", or "us") operates the ClosetIQ mobile application for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address
• Password (securely encrypted via Supabase Auth)

Wardrobe & App Data

• Clothing names, brands, colors, categories, occasions, seasons
• Photos of clothing items (stored securely via Supabase Storage)
• Outfit generation history
• Outfit ratings (likes, dislikes, favorites)
• Style preferences
• Swipe feedback
• Daily usage counts (generations, swipes, pairings)

We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Contacts
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Store and organize your wardrobe
• Generate AI-powered outfit suggestions
• Improve app performance
• Manage subscriptions
• Provide customer support

3. AI Processing

ClosetIQ uses Anthropic’s Claude API to generate outfit suggestions. Clothing descriptions may be sent to Anthropic’s servers for processing. No personal identifiers (such as email) are shared.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase (authentication, database, storage – hosted on AWS)
• Anthropic (AI outfit generation)
• RevenueCat (subscription management)
• Expo / React Native (app framework & notifications)

5. Subscriptions & Payments

ClosetIQ offers optional monthly and annual subscriptions via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment information is processed by Apple or Google. ClosetIQ does not store payment card details.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. You may delete your account at any time within the app settings. Upon deletion, associated data is permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including EU and California residents), you may have the right to:

• Request deletion
• Request data portability

8. Children’s Privacy

ClosetIQ is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date above.
